This award is given as recognition for the exterior improvements to a property. Any improvement that is in keeping with the general style of the original structure. Such improvements will benefit the subject property and be an encouragement to the surrounding properties. Anyone can nominate a property to receive the award. These nominations are reviewed by a committee of volunteers for final selection, and up to two properties can be selected at one time.

The property selected will receive the Batavia Property Improvement Sign in front of the property for a period of 30 days. The Clermont Sun Newspaper will publish a photo of the property and do a news article about the owner, the history of the property, and the improvements that have been made to the property.

The properties that have received this award in the past are pictured on this website. The owners of these properties can be proud of the contribution they have made in making Batavia a nice place to live.
